Champagne Cuv\u00e9e Brut is in a\u00a0very fine crystal, created exclusively by Vranken for Cartier on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the famous French jewelery house.\u00a0Composed mainly of Pinot Meunier grapes selected from 32 villages, a characteristic that makes it even more rare and precious, since most champagnes are usually the result of a blend of mostly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, and only in minimal part of Pinot Meunier grapes.<\/p>\n

CARTIER HISTORY<\/p>\n

In 1981, Alain Dominique Perrin as CEO has founded the\u00a0Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain<\/a>\u00a0to bring Cartier into the twenty-first century, by forming an association with living artists. In 1986, the French Ministry for Culture appointed Perrin head of the \u00ab\u00a0Mission sur le m\u00e9c\u00e9nat d’entreprise\u00a0\u00bb (a commission to study business patronage of the arts). Two years later, Cartier gained a majority holding in\u00a0Piaget<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Baume & Mercier<\/a>. From 1989 to 1990, the Mus\u00e9e du Petit Palais staged an exhibition of the Cartier collection, \u00ab\u00a0L’Art de Cartier.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Perrin founded an international committee in 1991,\u00a0Comit\u00e9 International de la Haute Horlogerie<\/em>, to organize its first salon, held on April 15, 1991; this has become an annual meeting place in Geneva for professionals in this field. The next year, the second exhibition of \u00ab\u00a0L’Art de Cartier\u00a0\u00bb was held at the\u00a0Hermitage Museum<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0St Petersburg<\/a>. In 1993, the \u00ab\u00a0Vend\u00f4me Luxury Group\u00a0\u00bb was formed as an umbrella company to combine Cartier,\u00a0Dunhill<\/a>,\u00a0Montblanc<\/a>, Piaget, Baume & Mercier,\u00a0Karl Lagerfeld<\/a>,\u00a0Chlo\u00e9<\/a>, Sulka,\u00a0Hackett<\/a>, and Seeger.<\/p>\n

In 1994, the Cartier Foundation moved to the Rive Gauche and opened headquarters in a building designed for it by\u00a0Jean Nouvel<\/a>. The next year, a major exhibition of the Cartier Antique Collection was held in Asia. In 1996, the Lausanne Hermitage Foundation in Switzerland exhibited \u00ab\u00a0Splendours of the Jewellery\u00a0\u00bb, presenting a hundred and fifty years of products by Cartier.<\/p>\n
